FAQ

What are the benefits of sauna?

There are many whether it is relaxation, circulation, or just a place for calm, a sauna can be a benefit to you! Let's talk about what you are looking for and we can recommend rotations between heat and cold, temperatures, and more.

What time is drop off/pick up?

For an overnight rental, drop off is at 6PM and pick up is the next day at 10AM. For two hour block rentals, we will work with you on a pick up and drop off time. We also handle all the set up and clean up. Just be ready to enjoy the heat!

What should I bring?

A sauna is considered a bath-like experience similar to a hot tub, but please, stay clothed. Bring a swimsuit or work out gear and towel to sit on. You will also want to bring plenty of water to stay hydrated.

How do I even use the sauna?

Saunas are meant to be hot! It should feel like a near uncomfortable sensation (interior temps range from ~160-200 degrees Fahrenheit) but something you can manage. Go for 5 to up to 20 minutes and then take a break. This is a great time to hydrate, take a cold shower or jump in the cold plunge. Return to the hot room for another rotation. You can do this for as many rounds as you'd like but generally 3-4 is recommended.

Who shouldn't use a sauna?

It is always good to consult with your medical professional before enjoying a sauna. Generally, people who are pregnant, with cardiovascular conditions, or have recently have had surgery should avoid the sauna.

Why three benches?

Saunas need three things: 1: Heat (obviously) 2: Air circulation, 3: benches tall enough to put you into the heat pocket. You may have experienced saunas before that put you near the floor. While these may have felt fine at the time, you may have felt the sensation of cold feet or stuffy air. We pride ourselves on a traditional Finnish design which is not only aesthetically pleasing but highly functional.

What type of wood is the sauna made from?

Select Western Red Cedar.

Is it an electric or wood burning stove?

Wood burning! This Iki Original Plus stove packs the heat. With nearly 600 pounds of stones to help you feel warm from head to toe.
